The competition proposal connects the Central and Regional Library district to Tempelhofer Feld. Buildings and public spaces form a distinct urban frontage along Tempelhofer Damm while opening towards the landscape. A permeable network of routes links the library to the surrounding urban spaces. Different surfaces organise circulation and distinguish public and private outdoor areas without introducing physical barriers. A continuous, accessible pedestrian realm brings the different uses together as a connected neighbourhood. The role included the design concept, drawings and model-making in collaboration with MARS Architekten, Überbau, TH Treibhaus and Lavaland. The proposal received a joint first prize.
