The competition proposal develops two bridges for Europacity, connecting different waterfront levels without interrupting the promenade along the Spandauer Schifffahrtskanal. Within a confined space, significant changes in level must be reconciled with accessible circulation. Sculptural steel structures and landscaped ramps respond to these topographic conditions. A light grey micaceous iron oxide finish relates to the existing steel railings, while broom-finished in-situ concrete ramps connect to the waterfront paths. Structure, surfaces and circulation form a coherent design. The role at annabau included the design concept, drawings and model-making. The proposal received second prize in the implementation section of the competition.
