Built in 1930–31, the estate comprises 590 apartments and five commercial units. Its comb-like layout combines dense development with green courtyards. The refurbishment brings energy improvements and modernisation into dialogue with heritage requirements. The proposals include work to the building envelope, renewal of plumbing risers, and the modernisation of bathrooms and kitchens. Standardised bathroom options simplify the design process while accommodating tenants' different needs. Details for the façade insulation and the treatment of entrances built in glazed architectural brick are central tasks. The role as lead architect at RTW Generalplanung covered HOAI stages 5-8.
