The six-storey residential building with a setback top floor provides 75 units for students and trainees. An internal staircase and adjoining access galleries organise circulation. The design responds to street noise through clear zoning: private rooms face the courtyard and garden, while shared spaces are placed mainly towards the street and access galleries. The courtyard offers a sheltered setting for focused study and informal use. Windows opening onto the galleries create visual connections and encourage everyday encounters. A step-free ground-floor passage connects the building to Steglitzer Damm. The role at Thoma Architekten covered project management and construction supervision in HOAI stages 1-8.
